We're using this beautiful slate tile in the entryway as color inspiration for the entire downstairs. It's got hues of gray, blue, brown and orange. (I will post this pic because it doesn't show much of the house or the seller's things).

The kitchen:
Our kitchen has oak hardwood floors, light oak cabinets and gray countertops, plus an eat-in area with a slider to the deck. We're planning to paint the walls a light gray-green color, like Behr's Ocean Foam. It's a little greener than it looks on the computer:
We have a bar that we'll buy stools for. I'm liking these Addison stools from Bed Bath & Beyond:
I'm not sure what we're going to do with the eat-in area, since we have a big dining room. We'll probably put a small table in there with a couple chairs as a breakfast area, or maybe a comfier chair, like this Occasional Chair from L.L.Bean:
The living room:
The living room has beige carpeting that will stay for now (although I'd love to have more hardwood!). Right now we have brown couches, but we'll probably buy something different at some point. We're planning to paint it a warm beige. We've had some disagreements on this color, but I think we've finally both agreed to Behr's Pumpkin Butter:

I'm not sure about decor yet, but we have dark wood furniture. I'm thinking of accenting with greens and/or blues, or maybe red.

The dining room is partially open to the living room and has oak hardwood floors. Since it shares a wall with the living room, it will also be painted the same Pumpkin Butter color. We're considering doing a chair rail in the dining room and painting the lower half a red-orange color, like Behr's Firebrick:
We want to buy this unfinished dining room table from The Mill Stores but with different legs, and finish it a mahogany color. It extends up to 96 inches!
